Step 1:

Things You’ll Need

  • 1/2-inch MDF board
  • 3/4-inch plywood
  • Tape measure
  • Pencil
  • Jigsaw (bandsaw optional)
  • Circular saw
  • Drill with a 1-inch spade or Forstner bit
  • Double-sided tape
  • Router with a 1-inch flush trim router bit
  • Sandpaper
  • Satin polyurethane

Step 2:

Measure and hint your desk dimensions onto the MDF board, referring to the design beneath for the proper dimensions. A template made from MDF board allows you to create markings and holes except compromising the ultimate piece.

Step 3:

Using the bandsaw, cut out the template you traced on the MDF board. To reduce the core piece out, without a doubt drill a gap into the middle of the board, following with the jigsaw.

Step 4:

Using double-sided tape, tightly closed the templates onto the plywood with at least half-inch clearance on all sides.

Step 5:

Using the router, comply with the secured template with the bearing of the flush trim router bit. In the centre of each leg pieces, cut out notches and angles, referring to the sketch under for the proper dimensions.

Step 6:

Using an excellent sanding block, sand all the edges and faces of your three desk parts. Wipe smooth using a damp cloth, and then brush on satin water-based polyurethane on all three parts. Allow drying. Repeat until you reap your favoured finish. Once the end is absolutely dry, slide the notches in the table legs collectively so the legs stand upright on their own. Place the tabletop piece on the pinnacle of the legs, fitting it inside the notches so that it rests snugly on top of the legs.

This desk is versatile and can easily be used in any room in the home. Its minimal sketch works for all decor types. When you want that more space, honestly caves in it and shop it for future use.
