Make Your Own Lavender Oatmeal Soap Recipe


This winter season has definitely taken its toll on my skin. So given that one of my 2019 new year’s resolutions is to practise extra self-care, If your pores and skin is begging for some hydration, you want to strive this tremendous handy and speedy recipe below.


Lavender Oatmeal Soap Recipe


What you will need:

  • 1/2 kg Shea oatmeal cleaning soap base
  • 2 tsp lavender fundamental oil
  • 1/4 cup lavender buds
  • 1/3 cup oatmeal
  • Silicon soap mould two

Here we have step by step guide for you:

  1. To begin, cube up the soap base into cubes and place them in a medium microwave secure bowl. This will help it melt faster and extra evenly. Once diced, vicinity the bowl of cubes into the microwave, heating it in 1-minute intervals until melted. About 2.5 minutes.
  2. While the cleaning soap base is melting, vicinity a pinch of lavender buds into the bottom of each cleaning soap mould. This will provide you with a fantastic layer of lavender buds at the top of the soap bar as soon as it is complete.
  3. Next, add in the oatmeal and necessary oil to the soap base and mix it.
  4. Finally, transfer the mixture to the soap moulds. To do so, grasp a massive liquid measuring cup and transfer your mixture to it. It will make it a lot easier to pour your combination into the moulds from the measuring cup vs straight from the mixing bowl. Pour up to the top of each mildew then set aside to cool (approx. 2 hours).
  5. Once the soap bars have solidified, you can keep them in a cool, dry place, separated with wax paper to stop them from sticking to every other. If you determine to present your soap bars, the fashion you package deal them in is endless! For these soaps, I used craft tissue paper and thick twine to provide them with a rustic look.
